Verizon iPhone and iPhone 4G on June 7th? →
Details: We will also see the iPhone OS 4.0 software download on June 7. Analysts estimate that there will be two iPhones launched on June 7, and one will support Verizon’s CDMA network. The Verizon iPhone won’t work on 4G network, the 4G just stands for fourth generation. Verizon’s 4G network is expected to be ready in 2011.

soupsoup: hotfoot: Multiple sources have confirmed to me that Major League Baseball is cracking down on Twitter usage, ordering MLB.com writers to cease tweeting about all non-baseball topics and scolding players for their Twitter usage in general. From the site: What is FEAST? FEAST is a recurring public dinner designed to use community-driven financial support to democratically fund new and emerging artmakers. At each FEAST, participants will pay a sliding-scale entrance fee for which they will receive supper and a ballot. Diners will vote on a variety of proposed artist projects. At the end of dinner, the artist whose proposal...

“The guy was tasting himself too long to apologize.”
– Oakland A’s pitcher Dallas Braden, talking about A-rod after the Yankees 3B ran across the mound during yesterday’s game. My dislike for A-rod is well documented, yet it’s a little unfair of us to ask him to keep track of all of baseball’s “unwritten rules”. The...

Hitler “Downfall Meme” gets DMCA’d →
adamiss: Oh come on. This is art! The Downfall meme is so well-established that it has literally become standard curriculum for digital moviemaking courses, as evidenced by this class’ page which counted 14 videos before the takedowns were issued (currently, only two of these videos remain playable). Well then, enjoy Hitler discussing the loss of his 4G iPhone before it’s taken down.

Gizmodo paid $10,000 for “lost” iPhone 4G →
soupsoup: At the time of this writing, Gizmodo’s story alone is bordering on 2 million page views. Now word is leaking out that Gizmodo paid a cool 10 grand for the iPhone prototype, which all things considered, seems like a bargain given Apple’s typically tight rein on product leaks. $10,000 has undeniably diverted a ton of eyeballs to Gizmodo’s site, and the surge in web traffic probably...
